Back for 60 Seconds

Realised that haven't been updated my blog for a long while. Reasons include:

a) Don't have time

b) Some ex-co-workers somehow figured out my blog and started taking the piss ("Oh David, so sentimental!")

c) Couldn't be asked

But now, at 1:56am on a Monday night, I somehow decide to write something. Why you ask. I have no idea. Sometimes I have no idea why I do things as well. I guess the moment just felt right. Of course I could always blame that the recent closeness of Mars to Earth attributed by their structurally different orbits, leading to slight changes in the Earths' magnetic field and consequently to an inversion in certain neuro connections in my brain. Or not.

Anyhow, now that I am rambling, I feel lost (ex-co-workers feel welcome to call/email/text to take the piss, good thing is current co-workers have yet figured this out, otherwise they will insist again on the lack of background check before my hiring). Really don't know what I want right now as it seems that I have fulfilled all the goals I have set myself for this year. Anyhow, next year is just around the corner, and I better start pulling myself together and reconsider what is important and what I should try to achieve. Do you do that too?

Gay Animals - 'Nuff Said

Evolution - And Has Nothing To Do With Animals!

Read today an interesting article in BBC news about how human species may split in two. For me, such issues regarding evolution are really eye opening for me – so indeed human beings are still in the process of evolution where the strong prevails and the weak perish. Some particularly interest quotes from the news article:

“People would become choosier about their sexual partners, causing humanity to divide into sub-species” – So today we are pretty much open to any sex we can get?

“The descendants of the genetic upper class would be tall, slim, healthy, attractive, intelligent, and creative and a far cry from the "underclass" humans who would have evolved into dim-witted, ugly, squat goblin-like creatures.” – Why doesn’t the underclass simply wither and go extinct?

“men will exhibit symmetrical facial features, look athletic, and have squarer jaws, deeper voices and bigger penises” – Er, so size does matter in natural selection…

“Women, on the other hand, will develop lighter, smooth, hairless skin, large clear eyes, pert breasts, glossy hair, and even features” – That is what I like!

“Racial differences will be ironed out by interbreeding, producing a uniform race of coffee-coloured people.” – Coffee anyone? No more yellow men!

“Social skills, such as communicating and interacting with others, could be lost, along with emotions such as love, sympathy, trust and respect. People would become less able to care for others, or perform in teams.” – Seems like some of us have already pretty much arrived into the future of human evolution.

da Rosa London Explorer v.001

It has been a while since I blogged, and frankly I miss the feeling of typing away my musings in the stillness of the midnight. Blame my workload, blame my commitments, blame London. But right now, back to blogging, I am loving it.

London is truly a beautiful city, I would say it is my favourite city in the world - although some would disagree as you don't have a favourite place until you have been in all. On the other hand, I still claim London to be my favourite as I have started to see London through different angles...

stpauls

Take St. Pauls and Millennium Bridge. Since I used to work near St. Pauls, its grandiose would simply blend into the background as it would never register in the mind of someone who is busily trying not to be too late into work. Likewise, the Millennium Bridge is simply a way for me to get home in those rare early finishes. Only recently I have noticed that viewing from a certain place, both St. Pauls and the Millennium Bridge would appear together as one in such pittoresque manner? Do you already know where I took the above picture?

The Heirloom

heirloom

I saw this tonight. A must see. The visuals, coupled with the soundtrack, creates an atmosphere of real suspense, carrying from beginning to the end of the movie.
